Sam Steel Cosmetics is owned and run by Auckland makeup artist Sam Steel. 

Sam has professionally trained at New Zealand's leading acadmey and this is where he dreamt up 'Sam Steel Cosmetics'! 

Now he has a team of eight fabulously talented makeup artists and hair stylists, offering makeup and hair for every occasion, from weddings to editorial, Sam Steel Cosmetics does it all. 

So when ever you are ready to put your best face forward, We have hair stylists and makeup artists to tease, trime and turn you out. We specialise in preparing you for the Big Day, the Big Shoot, or to be the Belle of the Ball. And to keep your life more stress-free we will come to you!

I booked the ‘Full Hair and Make-up’ combination through Sam Steel for the night of my birthday and I was not disappointed in the least! It was the first time I had booked a professional hair and make-up session so I was a little nervous about how it would turn out as I had heard plenty of stories about hair and make-up artists who do not give their clients what they want. Sam himself did my make-up and talked to me through the whole process to ensure that he was giving me what I wanted. When I wasn’t sure what I wanted I asked him to do what he thought was best and he did know what suited me best. He is very knowledgeable about the make-up range used, as he has developed it all himself so that was very reassuring also. The hairdresser also asked for what I wanted and talked me through each step she was working through to ensure that I was still happy with what she was doing along the way. The end result was stunning and all my friends asked who had done my hair and make-up! An awesome and unexpected birthday present!! To top it all off, my make-up and hair stayed on and looking perfect the entire night!!! I would highly recommend Sam Steel make up for any event, big or small!!
